“4th Kazan OIC Youth Entrepreneurship Forum”
The Islamic Cooperation Youth Forum (ICYF), an international institution affiliated to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), welcomes applications from interested youth and entrepreneurs for the “4th Kazan OIC Youth Entrepreneurship Forum”, an international entrepreneurship event initiated by ICYF in cooperation with the Government of Tatarstan (RF) to be held on 6-12 May 2018 in Kazan. The program is dedicated to young entrepreneurs of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation Member States and Muslim minorities from non-members. The event is held under ICYF’S Start-up Platform Project.
Who can participate?
Participants will be selected after successfully submitting their projects through www.oicstartups.org. After which, they will be offered 8 weeks of online training in the fields of finance, marketing, and business plan development. Following this, they will be matched with outstanding Mentors to assist them in the preparation process for investment, to establish successful start-up companies. Projects that successfully accomplish online training and the evaluation of financial and Technical committee will be invited to the Kazan OIC Youth Entrepreneurship Forum.
Participants should be between 18-35 years, and citizens of OIC Member States, Observer States or Muslim minorities from non-member states.

Start-up Project in IT
The OIC Start-up Project (OSP) aims at educating participants about social and business entrepreneurship, to train them on current trends of Innovation Management, Corporate Innovation and Entrepreneurship, as well as networking between participants from different OIC Member States. During the event, Young Entrepreneurs from around 50 countries will receive high-end training in critical tools of understanding of social innovations and applying of knowledge and skills based approach towards the field of entrepreneurship.

Local hospitality and a portion of flight costs will be provided by organizers. Only successful candidates will be invited for the 4th Kazan OIC Youth Entrepreneurship Forum.

Islamic Calligraphy Workshop
Shiraz-OIC Youth Capital 2017
Islamic Cooperation Youth Forum (ICYF), an international organization affiliated to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), announces the call for application for the Shiraz OIC Youth Capital 2017 – Fine Arts Festival & Islamic Calligraphy Workshop issued by the hosts of the “Shiraz – OIC Youth Capital 2017” international programme. The Workshop aiming to bring together young calligraphers from the OIC geography will be held in the city of Shiraz, Islamic Republic of Iran (IRI), on 17th – 19th December, 2017.
Main Objectives of the Workshop:
- Highlighting the necessity of development among the OIC Youth the art of Calligraphy.
- Supporting young calligraphers from the OIC Geography.
Main Information and Details:
- The calligraphy workshop is open to all youth from the OIC Member States and Muslim minorities of the non-member states, aged between 18 and 35.
- Participation is free of charge.
- The hosts will cover transportation and accommodation expenses for the successful applicants.
- On the first day, 17 December 2017, there will be lectures on the theories of Islamic Calligraphy and also the characteristics of Iranian Calligraphy.
- On the second day, 18 December 2017, the calligraphers should produce calligraphy works under the direct supervision of Iranian calligraphers and professors and the produced works will be put on display on the same day.
- On the third day, 19 December 2017, the calligraphers will receive a Participation Certificate in the Grand Closing Ceremony of Shiraz-OIC Youth Capital 2017.

Islamic Cooperation Youth Forum (ICYF), an international organization affiliated to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), announces the call for application for the Fez –OIC Youth Capital 2017, Youth Forum for the Prevention of Extremism and Violence issued by the hosts of the “Fes– OIC Youth Capital 2017” international programme. The Festival aiming to bring together young artists from the OIC geography and beyond will be held in the city of Fez, Kingdom of Morocco, on 22-23 November, 2017.
Main Objectives:
The Forum is an opportunity to meet and interact with leading youth from various OIC countries to work on the concepts related to volunteering and the various approaches that are effective in preventing extremism and violence, through workshops and seminars with specialists.
- To support the development of young people sensitive to global and social issues, capable of contributing society and humanity and to empower young people with leadership qualities.
- To enable young people to think about “Youth Forum for the Prevention of Extremism and Violence” and exchange ideas on these matters and find solutions for them and to make a contribution to establishing a fundamentally more equitable and peaceful world.
- To enable young people to gain new experiences by improving their sense of solidarity and cooperation.
- To establish youth networks and platforms.
The Format and Programme Details
The 2 days forum programme is expected to bring young people together to contribute to the success of the event and discuss about youth volunteerism & preventing extremism and violence. The programme will be a combination of;

The final selection will be made by the organizing team according to the criteria described below;
- To be a citizen of the OIC Member States or representative of Muslim community in non-OIC Member States;
- Able to speak English;
- Aged 18-30;
- Involved in/coordinated any innovative youth social project,
- Active in community services,
- Motivated to attend the full duration;

The Contest aiming to bring together young writers from the OIC geography and Award Ceremony will be held in the city of Shiraz, Islamic Republic of Iran (IRI), on 19 December, 2017.
The Festival’s Main Objectives:
- Expanding and valuing short stories.
- Highlighting the necessity of the development of writing and publishing short stories in OIC Member States.
- Supporting production and publication of short stories which revolve around Peace and Human Respect.
The Festival’s Policy:
Short stories, which meet the following requirements, may enter the festival’s competitive section:
- Short stories should be written Only in English Language and up to 1500 words.
- Short stories should be typed in Microsoft Word (Font: Times New Roman (Headings CS), Size: 14)

- After the short stories are submitted to the festival, they cannot be excluded from it.
- It is the secretariat’s task to adopt final decisions as regards unexpected cases, which are not included in the present regulations, or obscurities resulted from its content as well as making changes in some of them.
- Completion of participation application form means all the regulations are accepted by the participants.
- The process of sending short stories to the secretariat is one-staged and submitted files are directly and unchangeably judged.
- The works may not be changed or re-sent at all.
- No award will be presented to two or more works with similar values.
- The presence of selected writer or his/her representative at the closing ceremony is required to pay homage to the festival and receive the award.

Technical Requirements for Works:
Registration in the festival and uploading the films should be conducted through visiting this website (https://shirazoyc.com/en/filmawards). The works should be uploaded in the festival’s website for initial examination with qualities ranging from 480p to 720p, mp4 format and frame rate of 24fps. Please also take note that in case the film is selected to be exhibited in the festival, it should possess these features; quality and frame rate of 1080p and 30fps, respectively. Therefore, the filmmakers should prepare this format in advance. After uploading the films and filling out the registration form (personal information), the participants would receive a tracking code through an email.
Important Hint: Defective files and/or formats other than those mentioned here will not be included in the best work selection phase.
Important Hint: When submitting and uploading files, the film’s title should be written on its folder. Also, the registration code received from the website should be kept.
Important Hint: If your film is accepted at the final phase, all the complementary information including stage and backstage photos, director’s photos etc should be delivered to the secretariat.

- The Secretariat of the “Shiraz – OIC Youth Capital 2017” shall provide local hospitality, including boarding and lodging to the international participants for 4 nights. For the travel costs the participants will be supported in amount of 200 USD for each participant, to be paid in cash by the hosts upon arrival in Shiraz.

The Muslim Future Thinkers Forum ‘’In the Light Mulla Sadra’’ International Academic Conference, under the “Shiraz – OIC Youth Capital 2017” International Programme, will be held in Shiraz, Islamic Republic of Iran, on 20-23 July 2017. The event is jointly organized by Islamic Cooperation Youth Forum (ICYF), Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and Shiraz University under the theme of “Rethinking the Ummah in the Light of Mulla Sadra” with the participation of prospering and well known Muslim Scholars from several universities and academic Institutions based in Muslim majority countries.
ICYF, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) youth Institution, launched a new intellectual platform, the Muslim Future Thinkers Forum (MFTF), with the goal of bringing together prominent senior and junior scholars of the Muslim world to express and exchange their ideas in the format of an academic forum every year. The Forum seeks not only to gather together leading intellectuals of the Muslim world to reflect collectively on the issues facing Muslims today but also to establish worldwide Muslim intellectual networks of cooperation and youth voluntarism to prepare future scholars and leaders. To do so, the Forum adopts a distinctly interdisciplinary perspective to garner insights from Islamic sciences, social sciences and humanities. It may be mentioned here that the Forum is one of the fourteen actions under the chapter of Joint Youth Action Plan adopted by the 3rd Session of the Islamic Conference of Youth and Sports Ministers (5-7 October, 2016, in Istanbul).
The three-day conference will address various aspects of concern to the Muslim world, particularly rethinking the opportunities and challenges faced by it, as well as focusing on the essence of Mulla Sadra’s message.

In the framework of the Putrajaya – OIC Yout
h Capital 2017 international programme, the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Malaysia in partnership with Islamic Cooperation Youth Forum (ICYF), an international institution affiliated to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), is organizing the “OIC BATTLE OF SUMOROBOT & TVET CONFERENCE FOR INDUSTRIAL AUTOMATION” in Putrajaya (Malaysia), on 23-24 May, 2017.
OBJECTIVE
- To produce a generation of educators and learners who are creative and competitive in line with the aspiration in robotic field towards directing a first class human capital with a “towering personality”.
- To foster unity and encourage exchange of views among the participants of the local youth and the OIC youth participants who have strength in Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET).
GENERAL RULES
- THE PARTICIPATION OF THE OIC BATTLE OF SUMOROBOT & TVET CONFERENCE FOR INDUSTRIAL AUTOMATION – PUTRAJAYA OIC YOUTH CAPITAL 2017 MUST consist of respective OIC countries. Participants involved in SumoRobot Competition are also obliged to attend TVET Conference for Industrial Automation on the following day.
- All participants must be aged between 15 – 30 years.
- ONLY ONE (1) PERSON PER PARTICIPATION from each OIC country is encouraged where the cost will be borne by the Organizing Committee including :-
- Flight ticket from respective country to Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA/ KLIA2) and return flight ticket from Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA/ KLIA2) to their country;
- Twin sharing accommodation with breakfast and dinner provided at the hotel;
- Domestic transportation from the airport to the hotel and the programme venue;
- Meals and refreshment during the programme.
- Accommodation, meals and transportation during programme are provided by the Organizing Committee. The participants are responsible for all personal expenses (such as buying souvenirs, international phone calls, laundry, personal trading and etc). Personal expenditures of preparation for the trip or daily expenses during the stay will not be provided by the Organizing Committee.
- OBSERVERS from participating OIC countries are welcome to attend the programme at their OWN EXPENSES, subject to the relevant provisions of the competition and the rules of procedure. However, the Organizing Committee MAY NOT RESPONSIBLE on the arrangement of hotel accommodation, meals and transportation during their stay in Malaysia.

Islamic Cooperation Youth Forum (ICYF), an international institution affiliated to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in partnership with the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Malaysia is organizing the “OIC Youth Capital Halal Food and Fashion Festival” in Putrajaya (Malaysia), on 8-9 April 2017. The double-fold Festival is being organized in conjunction with Grand Opening Ceremony of “Putrajaya – OIC Youth Capital 2017” a year-long International Programme approved by relevant decisions of the OIC 43rdCouncil of Foreign Ministers and the 3rd Islamic Conference of Youth and Sports Ministers.
OBJECTIVES
The Festival aims to bring together young entrepreneurs in the fields of Islamic fashion to showcase their projects and products as well as to exchange creative ideas, to build investment and collaborative partnerships at variety of thematic sessions. Serving as a new horizon in opening the minds of the young people to the challenging realms and norms existing in business, the festival will enable them to discuss and submit their projects and proposals to the relevant parties and possible partners.

THE FORMAT AND PROGRAMME DETAILS
The 2 days international programme is expected to bring young entrepreneurs together to contribute to the success of the event and explore new business opportunities for your projects and products. Participants will be provided with opportunity to present their projects or products in the special exhibition as well as thematic sessions.
The programme will be a combination of;
- Exhibition – Halal Food and Fashion
- Fashion Show, Sharing Session, Promotion of Products
- Halal Food Showcase from OIC Member States (sharing session, promotion of products)
Participants are allowed (if desired) to bring their food and fashion products. It may be authentic national items and products which will be used to showcase, exhibit, try-out, sampled and also to be either consumed, sold, distributed or shared among participants and other attendees of the Festival & Exhibition.
VENUE AND DATE
The date and venue of the OIC Halal Food and Fashion Festival is 8 – 9 April, 2017 in Florida Putrajaya, Malaysia. Arrivals and departures are expected to be, respectively on 7 April and 10 April, 2017.
